BioAge: Unknown, though physically he appears to be anywhere between 19 to 25.
Physical Description of Character:
Zexion is rather short in stature due to that fact that his Other was the youngest of Ansem’s apprentices at the time of the heartless experiments. As a result, he still has a small boyish build that is completely unsuited to physical labor. His hair is most often described as slate-colored – a dark blue-silver hue – and a considerable amount of it falls into his face obscuring half of his features. His eyes are bright blue, though the right one is almost always hidden by his hair.
Point in Canon: (from what point in the plot are you picking them up?) After Axel ordered Vexen’s Riku Replica to absorb Zexion’s powers, presumably killing him. He’s rather surprised to find himself not dead.
Personality:
Zexion’s title within the Organization is/was the Cloaked Schemer, which is aptly suited to his personality. He is highly intelligent and gifted with the power of persuasive speech in addition to his other abilities. However, he despises getting his hands dirty and much prefers convincing others to do his work for him while he observes from a safe distance. Self-preservation is very high on his list of priorities, though whether it is only a memory or an actual fear of death is anyone’s guess. Zexion is also a stickler for the rules of social etiquette, though his own polite demeanor is often used as a guise for thinly veiled sarcasm. If he’s going to insult it you, it will be in the most civil way possible, I assure you.
One of the few material things he enjoys (despite in theory lacking the ability to enjoy anything) is tea. It is a luxury he has grown deeply fond of and it is second in ranking only to his interest in books. The inquisitive nature of his Other is something that Zexion retained in full, and with 10 years to acquire and study a vast array of literature from different worlds, it would be safe to say that his reading habits border on the excessive. This curiosity leads him in the continued pursuit of scientific knowledge, as well, particularly that which pertains to the nature of the heart and his own existence as a Nobody.
History of the Character: Zexion is a Nobody – a being said to be without a heart – who was created as a result of Ansem the Wise and Xehanort’s original experiments with heartless. In an attempt to uncover the mysteries regarding the darkness in people’s hearts, Ansem’s six apprentices lost their hearts and became the founding members of Organization XIII. In Ansem’s reports, it is noted that Ienzo – Zexion’s Other – was the one who convinced him to allow the experiments to proceed. Ienzo was also the youngest in the group.
Within the Organization, Zexion is/was Number VI, the lowest ranked of the original members. Reasons for his rank are speculative. By order of the Superior, he was assigned to Castle Oblivion along with Vexen, Lexaeus, Axel, Larxene, and Marluxia. Many acts of treachery took place during this particular mission, including Zexion’s presumed demise. After eliminating Vexen and helping Sora (albeit indirectly) defeat Marluxia, Axel cornered a wounded Zexion who had just barely escaped from Riku with his life. With no remorse, Axel encouraged Vexen’s genetic Replica of Riku to absorb Zexion’s powers, leaving him for dead.
Magical Powers/Skills: Zexion is a skilled master of Illusion. He is capable of creating illusory clones of himself to confuse and attack his enemies, though the imitations are considerably weaker. He also has the ability to mimic other people’s weapons in appearance only. Any special traits the weapon has are not copied (i.e. – he can copy Sora’s keyblade for show, but it wouldn’t be able to unlock or seal Keyholes). Like all Nobodies, he has the ability to transport himself from place to place using corridors of darkness, as well as the unique ability to identify darkness by sense of smell. According to 358/2 Days, he is also very proficient at magic.
Weapons: Lexicon (aka giant book of DOOM) – still slightly ambiguous as far as what it can actually do, but he can hit things with it to do physical damage (LOL), trap people in the pages in a manner similar to how Luxord turns people into cards/dice, and summon dark things that hurt you
